Swap Store Hours
9:00am to 4:00pm Saturday March 7th
What Is a "Swap"?
A "Swap" is a sidewalk sale that we have at our location. It is the only time that we will carry used fly-fishing equipment, and it is a great opportunity for anyone to buy or sell their used equipment. Anyone can bring in his or her old fly fishing equipment to be displayed to the public. This is an excellent way to update your fly fishing equipment, or to get some equipment at a great price, especially if you are just getting into the sport. Aside from the used equipment, THAT DAY ONLY, we also have great prices on new fly-fishing equipment, as well as "Swap Specials".
Buying Information:
The swap opens at 9:00am Saturday. Prices are fixed on the equipment for the day, therefore bids are not accepted. TFC staff members are not the owners of the equipment. The equipment is only at TFC for the designated swap day. All sales are final on swap products. There are no warranties on swap products. Potential buyers cannot preview the fly-fishing equipment before the swap opens on Saturday.
Selling Information: The swap opens at 9:00am Saturday March 7th. Registration is open starting February 28 from 9:00am to Thursday March 5th at 6pm. Items will only be received between these dates. The selling price is fixed for the weekend. TFC is not responsible for the owner's equipment when the swap closes.
TFC prefers cash sales for swap items, but credit card and debit card transactions will be permitted with a 4% adder.

What will I find at the Swap?
The contents of the Swap depend entirely on what is brought in by our customers; we do not know in advanced what products we will have, although there should be a good variety of styles and price. The best selection is available Saturday morning, and good deals will go quickly. Please do not call ahead for product information.
How do I find out if my item sold? To find out if your item has been sold please call on Saturday March 7th AFTER 4PM ONLY. Someone will then check the computer so see if your item has been sold. Please be patient while our staff checks the computer for you.
What happens if my item gets sold?
If your item is sold your account will be credited for the sale amount. This account will be created as per the swap sheet provided at registration. If the owner of the equipment sells their product then the owner has the choice of either taking a 100% store credit or 75% in cash/cheque. The store credit does not have an expiration date, however purchases made must total the amount of the credit, as no cash balance will be forwarded. Store credits and cheques will be issued at the end of the day.
What happens if my item doesn't sell?
TFC does not charge a registration fee. If the fly fishing equipment does not sell, the owner must pick their equipment up before the swap closes. Storage fees will be charged unless prior arrangements have been negotiated. TFC is NOT responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Unsold equipment may not be taken out before 5:00pm Saturday.
How much is my item worth?
The price of the sale item is entirely in the seller’s hands. All we can do is give a rough idea of what the item might sell for based on the quality of the item, and what other similar items are priced at. If you wish to increase the chances of selling your item use the lowest price that you are willing to take.
