Welcome to the First Cast Fly Shop and Fly Fishing Guide Service

Welcome to Ontario’s favourite fly fishing outfitter, The First Cast Fly Shop and guide service, located in Guelph Ontario, Canada.

Centrally positioned 1 hr. from Toronto and 1 hour from London just off the hwy 401. We are a leader in fly fishing instruction and guiding in the area. We target Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout and Small mouth Bass primarily and concentrate our guiding and lessons on the Grand River, the Credit River, and the Conestogo River.

Our shop is located just minutes from the world famous Tailwater Fishery – The Grand River.

Being centrally located between Lake Ontario, Lake Erie, Georgian Bay and Lake Huron, we guide for migratory King Salmon and Steelhead on the tributaries of these Great Lakes. The Ontario Rivers that we guide on include: the Lower Grand River, the Big Head River, The Saugeen River, the Nottawasaga River, the Maitland river, the Lower Credit and the Niagara River and a few other less known lakes and streams.

Open Vice Nights Begin Every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8PM all winter
